Home is Where the Hatred Is: Marco Rubio Quits
After losing yet again, but this time miserably in his home state, Senator Marco Rubio calls his campaign for the 2016 presidency quits.
Donald Trump garnered almost 50% of the vote in the home of Marco Rubio, leaving Marco’s wife, former dolphins cheerleader Jeanette Dousdebes Rubio, with ‘a lot of splainin to do’..
Rubio had maintained up until this point that he will not drop out of the race because he WILL win Florida and even made up, sorry “told” a story at the Miami debate that his wife concocted, sorry “relayed” to him, when he came home one night, outlining why he will remain fighting for the presidency.
“My wife told me a story that (last Tuesday) night, which is the reason why I can get up the next day and keep fighting. There’s a gentleman here in south Florida, who just got out of surgery and his doctors told him he needs to be home resting. But every afternoon he takes his little aluminum chair (and aluminum hat) and he sits outside of an early polling center and holds a sign that says Marco Rubio; because for him I symbolize all the sacrifices that his generation made so their children could have a better life than themselves. That gentleman has not given up on me and I am not gonna give up on him!”
He omitted the last part of the story when his wife, Jeanette, told Marco to leave his aluminum chair, hat, and Rubio sign in the garage so he doesn’t lose them.
Regardless, with that loss at home, Marco Rubio will not soldier on.
Many thought he would continue in the hopes of a brokered convention but Marco Rubio took the higher road declaring,
“It is not in God’s plan that I be president.”
Lets just hope God is still working and will give some much needed pushes for the remainder of the 2016 presidential campaign.
