Hideous New Maryland License Available Monday
The “Quasimodo” of Licenses
The only thing attractive about the new Maryland license is Diane Jane (on the example id), and she loses a couple of points due to the blue genital crab crawling in her direction.
Regardless of this, someone at the MVA approved the design, and the new license will be rolled out for your viewing displeasure starting Monday, June 20th.
The new card was first shown at the Annapolis MVA branch on May 9th. All the victims of this showing recovered from severe eye injuries at local Anne Arundel Medical Center.
The new cards feature unique barcodes, a changeable image, raised print, and other features not yet shared with the public. According to Lt. Col. Anthony Satchell, with the Maryland State Police:
“Those are the things that we know about, so if you try to pass off a fake license to any law enforcement official we know right away based on the security features they have in place.”
The good news is you can hold on to your current license at least until it is time for renewal, but come renewal time, the new Maryland “Quasimodo” of licenses will become mandatory.
